This webinar is free for HFES members! Go to https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/670520810 to reserve your spot. Nonmember registration is available at https://www.hfes.org/Web/EventDetails.aspx?EventID=36, so please feel free to pass this message along to interested students and colleagues."
"In this webinar, Keebler will briefly match experimental designs with statistical analysis techniques. Often these topics are taught separately, and it can be confusing, daunting, and frustrating to collect data only to realize that the analyses needed are out of the researcher's realm of expertise. This webinar will review major experimental and quasi-experimental design criteria in light of the types of questions they can answer, and then couple each design to a specific analysis that will aid researchers in making the correct decisions about their data. Keebler's aim is to provide insight into the usefulness of statistics as a powerful tool for understanding data in research."

News from Houston HFES:
We invite you to submit an abstract to the Southwest Regional HFES One-Day Symposium to be held at the Annenburg Presidential Conference Center, part of the George Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.
The symposium is a forum for sharing information, case studies and new ideas within our community. This community consists of human factors and ergonomics engineers, designers, developers, designated company specialists and students in the Southwest Region. A variety of presentation formats have been identified to facilitate both information sharing and socializing within the group.
Please consider how you can support the field and participate by presenting examples of your work, practical applications or research interests using a lecture, panel, or poster presentation format.
This year we especially encourage alternate format proposals, such as panels, discussions groups, non-commercial demonstrations etc.
